Silver Bullet Congratulates Mountaire CEO Ronnie Cameron on His Induction into the North Carolina Poultry Federation Hall of Fame

Silver Bullet would like to congratulate Ronnie Cameron, the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Mountaire Corporation, was inducted into the North Carolina Poultry Federation’s Hall of Fame on Nov. 14 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Mr. Cameron has been with the Mountaire since 1968, taking control of operations in 1972 at the age of 27, moving up to become the President in 1973, and eventually becoming Chairman of the Board in 1978.

Mountaire was started in 1914 by Ronnie’s grandfather, Guy Cameron, as an animal feed business. Ronnie’s father, Ted Cameron, grew the company into a poultry business. Today, the company is headquartered in Arkansas with operations in Delaware, Maryland, and North Carolina. Mountaire sells over two and a half billion pounds of poultry across the globe each year, making them the seventh largest chicken company in the country, providing employment for over 8,500 people.

Mr. Cameron also has received the honorary lifetime member award from the National Chicken Council Board of Directors in 2008. He has served on various industry, local, and national boards. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in business.
